I Am Grateful …

…that I have my Heavenly Father to help guide me through my struggles. He kindly attends my sorrows while blessing me to rise from my prayers with my heartache assuaged and my better self in control. Thus I rise with quiet eyes to face my family who also mourns now.

Heavenly Father, make me brave for life; much braver than this.
As the blown grass lifts, let me rise
From sorrow with quiet eyes,
Knowing Thy way is wise.

About ThePlagueFairy

Wife and mother, Retired musician, etc, etc.... My favorite word is "Gemütlichkeit". -->-->-- "The word "Gemütlichkeit" is very old. If you ask my German great grandmother-in-law about the meaning of this most beloved word she would say that it means fellowship, hospitality, warmth, welcoming, and a feeling that no-one is a stranger. “Shared pain is lessened; shared joy, increased — thus do we refute entropy.” – Callahan’s Law

I am so sorry, my Gentle Friend. I wish for peace and comfort for you. I am thinking of you.

  2. Oh, Gentle Mac…
How do you do that? It’s like you are always there you’re so quick. Like an machinist-angel watching over me! Thank you my dear friend. Thank you very much.
I hope you and your dear wife are well and snug now, too. Stay safe, I hear it’s cold out.

It’s 19 degrees now and will be a little colder later. The high was 31 today but it will be warming up. It looks quite cold there as well. I hope you are being well tended and cared for by loving hands and hearts.

    • I am quite safe and warm, Gentle Mac, thank you. It isn’t cold here a’tall. It should be but it isn’t. Once again, the rest of the country is stealin’ our weather. They can’t come to any good that way. heh

I am well cared for as always but I found my spirit to be quite rebellious. It comes and goes but as always for me, prayer brings ease. You’d think loss would get easier with age. I really am rather surprised by my own reaction. I fear I cannot spend the hours on my knees that I once found such refuge in and my mind wanders so. In the end it doesn’t seem to matter though — the battle is fought and the morning comes.

I know how fortunate I am, Gentle Friend.

But I don’t think you realize how fortunate are those blessed to know you, LS. I certainly count myself in those. Do try to rest and don’t tax yourself to answer, my friend.

    Delicately wonderful.
And just LOVE!!! your header 😀 So sweet… and diabolical…
I must say a BIG ‘Thank You’ for your ‘Follow’ on my blog. Now I’m going to read and enjoy some more 🙂

  6. Passing by I was fascinated by this post of yours.

Indeed Gratitude is a great prism to view the world and the people through. It does open up new possibilities we would never have have thought existed otherwise.
